Wydanie nowego pakietu łatek dla Visty zostało przyćmione przez informacje dotyczące nowego dziecka Microsoftu – Windowsa 7. Mimo tego warto wiedzieć co w nowym Service Pack siedzi.
W drugim już wydaniu Service Pack otrzymujemy przede wszystkim ponad 100 łatek związanych z bezpieczeństwem. Zawarto tutaj także nowy silnik indeksowania i wyszukiwania Windows Search w wersji 4.0. Po instalacji nasz Windows będzie także obsługiwał format Blu-Ray oraz otrzyma nową funkcjonalność w postaci narzędzia Windows Vista Feature Pack for Wireless.
Na blogu TechIT można dowiedzieć się, iż SP2 stanie się po pewnym czasie aktualizacją automatyczną, możliwą do zablokowania, podobnie jak wcześniej Internet Explorer 6 na Windows XP:
Co jeszcze o Service Packu 2 dla Visty warto wiedzieć? Publicznie dostępny będzie w trzech wersjach – jedna via Windows Update, która początkowo dostępna będzie jako aktualizacja opcjonalna zajmująca między 40 a 100 MB w zależności od stanu konkretnego komputera i która po pewnym czasie stanie się aktualizacją automatyczną (ci, którzy jej nie chcą, będą musieli skorzystać ze specjalnego narzędzia blokującego).
Microsoft wdrożył w tę wersję Service Pack również wiele innych dodatków, jednakże nie stara się zbytnio o nagłośnienie tego, gdyż całe swe nadzieje i siły pokłada w wypromowanie Windows 7. Innymi słowy Windows 7 przyćmił Windowsa Vistę.

odtwarzanie filmów w media playerze?jednak tylko nagrywanie.Brakuje też informacji kiedy ten SP będzie dostępny.
