Panie i Panowie, nadszedł 21 stycznia, zatem Mozilla udostępniła nam nową wersję swojego flagowego produktu – Mozilli Firefoksa.
Firefox w wersji 3.6 pojawił się w wersji drugiej typu relase candidate dwa dni temu (wciąż można go pobrać) i już wtedy było wiadome, iż lada moment pojawi się oficjalna wersja. Świeży Lisek przynosi obsługę Personas i delikatną zmianę wyglądu przeglądarki. Tak, ale oficjalnie może się zdarzyć, że przed 19:30 w określonych folderach nie znajdzie się ta wersja, o której wszyscy myślą. Raczej tak się nie dzieje, ale pewności mieć nie można. Dlatego też nie powinno się przed oficjalną premierą ogłaszać, że finalna wersja "już jest" – jest dopiero, gdy zostanie ogłoszona. W przeciwnym razie można by uznać, że finalna wersja została wydana wtedy, gdy została dopisana do niej ostatnia linijka kodu (mimo że build istnieje tylko np. na komputerze jednego człowieka).
Czy kiedykolwiek tak było?
Nie mam przed sobą dokładnych danych, ale coś mi się przypomina, że któraś wersja Fx nie miała w ogóle wersji RC2. Widocznie znaleźli w niej jakąś sporą wadę. Publiczne ogłaszanie, że wersja RC2 "już jest" zachęca zaś do ściągania. Podobnie i tutaj – jeśli w ostatniej chwili (np. przy jakichś rutynowych ostatnich testach) okazałoby się, że wersja 3.6 jest poważnie uszkodzona, natychmiast wydanoby 3.6.1, a na stronę główną 3.6 nigdy by nie trafiła.
Także tak, podtrzymuję swoje zdanie.
można jakoś wyłączyć otwieranie odnośników w nowej karcie obok tej aktywnej? Bardziej pasował mi stary model, gdzie odnośniki w nowych kartach otwierały się na końcu.
a mnie wręcz odwrotnie, pasowało grupowanie takiej jak w IE7 – czyli dokładanie zakładek na końcu odpowiedniej grupy zakładek – co tworzyło porządek tematyczno chronologiczny. W IE8 z tego zrezygnowano i wtedy przeszedłem całkowicie na FF, gdyż dało się tam, mniej więcej, zasymulować zachowanie IE7 przez wtyczkę Tabs Open Relative. Jeszcze nie widziałem jak to działa w FF3.6 ale jeśli tak jak w IE7 to będę mocno pocieszony.
każdy ma swoje przyzwyczajenia, wiadomo, jednak myślę, że otwieranie nowej karty obok aktywnej jest bardziej naturalne i wygodne. Na przykład otwierasz w nowej karcie link do strony, która może być powiązana tematycznie ze stroną z poprzedniej karty, więc lepiej chyba jak obie są obok siebie. Ale dla tych co wolą po staremu powinna być gdzieś opcja, żeby tamto zachowanie przywrócić.

Niestety HTML5 w 3.6 to prawie marketingowy bełkot. Liczyłem na wsparcie choćby dla input typu "datetime-local" – niestety się przeliczyłem – 3.6 tego (wydawało by się drobiazgu z html5) nie wspiera.

Wszystko by było OK, gdyby dało się to efektywnie wyłączyć jednak się nie da przynajmniej w debianie (SID) grzebanie w about:config …nic nie daje (co prawda ver ~ 3.0 jakoś mi się udało ale nie teraz przy 3.5.6)
oops napisałem posta i dopiero potem jeszcze raz sprawdziłem, jednak przy zamykaniu wielu kart pojawił się w okienku dialogowym pod przyciskiem zamknij "ptaszek" nie pytaj ponownie i jakoś działa, bynajmniej jak na razie bo pamiętam że od zawsze z tym walczyłem jak syzyf ze swoim kamieniem
Ja mam problem innego rodzaju – nie zapamiętuje mi kart, które miałem otwarte, jeśli zamykam go normalnie. Kiedy naprawdę muszę wyłączyć komputer – zazwyczaj Firefox jest włączony 24 godziny na dobę – kiluję przeglądarkę, bo wtedy przywraca mi karty.
Mam na tej wersji jakieś problemy korzystając z proxy z autoryzacją… wchodząc na stronę mam cały czas pytanie o autoryzację użytkownika, w poprzedniej wersji takie pytanie było tylko na początku przy otwarciu przeglądarki. Ktoś ma podobnie?
Nie wiem jak wam, ale mi muli. Mam całkiem niezły stacjonarny i laptopa a jednak firefox muli… może to wina Mandrivy, którą mam zainstalowaną na obu komputerach. Może wina flasha… ale muli tak, że przełączanie między kartami mając kilka otwartych to katorga.
Niestety, w wersji 3.6 to się nie zmieniło.
Mi Firefox mulił na Linuksie od kiedy pamiętam, używaj Chrome/Chromium.
