Narazie używałem jedynie z liveCD i przez Vboxa tego kde4 (i to jeszcze wersji rc)

Pokusiłem sie o instalację na dysku stabilnego już kde (z dzisiaj) i niestety musze powiedzieć, że nie ma rewolucji

Podoba mi się:

- Oxygen

- Niektóre aplety plasmy

- Composite (niektóre ficzery)

Zainstalowałem u siebie na Kubuntu 7.04 – 15 minut i wyrzuciłem, nie da się na tym pracować, nie zauważyłem też żadnej rewolucji. Aplikacje na GTK wyglądają koszmarnie, różnicy w prędkości nie zauważyłem, opcji konfiguracyjnych jakby 200 razy mniej (nie widziałem nawet możliwości zmiany rozmiaru czcionki zegara w trayu), po kliknięciu na dodany wcześniej widget zegara analogowego – wszystko się posypało, został sam pulpit. Pulpit zresztą też nie działa najlepiej, niektórych "ikonek" nie da się odznaczyć.. Odpaliłem dolphina – taki sam jak w kde, którego teraz używam. Kliknąłem na plik graficzny – odpalił się thunderbird… Odpaliłem PSI – nie stworzyła się ikonka w trayu. Odpaliłem amaroka – to samo co teraz.

Szczerze mówiąc, to nie wiem gdzie te zmiany (tzn. w teorii wiem, w praktyce niezbyt) – zauważyłem nowy splash-screen, nowy pulpit (bug na bugu), nowe menu start… generalnie dla mnie zawód na całej linii – domyślam się, że to pierwsza wersja itd (to o czym było też tutaj dużo pisane), no ale nastawiałem się na to, że KDE 4 będzie naprawdę przełomem – bo takie też głosy się pojawiały, również w kontekście rywalizacji z Vistą. Jako wielki fan KDE jestem póki co strasznie zawiedziony i liczę na to, że najbliższe miesiące przyniosą dopiero rozkwit tego środowiska w wersji 4. Bo na chwilę obecną – kompletnie do mnie ono nie przemawia, mimo iż jestem osobą lubiącą nowości i chętnie testującą różne rozwiązania.

A czy ktoś wie jak wygląda "wygląd" ( UUU.UUU. ale rymło) aplikacji typu – Gimp itp..???????

Zainstalowałem już jakiś czas temu na Ubu 7.10 (z Gnomową podstawą) i jak na razie używać się tego nie da

Chyba dopiero przy wersji 4.1 lub 4.2 będzie można się przerzucić

Na dysku mam dwie wersjie KDE 4.0 dla Gutsiego z repozytorium i drugą w /opt skompilowaną do przyglądania sie zmianą w svn (robie tak gdzieś od wersji rc1)

Mimo, że KDE 4.0 wyszło wczoraj to juz dziś wygląda nieco inaczej tzn. np. przyciski obracania widżetów są nowe, a obracanie nimi nie zasłania całego ekranu jak to ma miejsce obecnie
